The Club is open from February through
December. Our regular schedule begins in February with Thursday lunches,
our popular Mom's Home Cooking Thursday dinners and Friday lunches and
dinner buffets. Our Friday night buffet features special expanded menus
for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day and other holidays.
The annual Officer
Installation is held in February and a reception for new members occurs
in March. The Club's "official" kick-off to the season comes with the
April Flag-Raising Ceremony and the Commodore's Dinner Dance.
Our popular Sunday brunch
begins in April, with special extras on Easter, Mother's Day, Father's
Day and Memorial Day weekend. The Club expands its schedule to add
Saturday lunch from June through August and Saturday dinner from June
The pool is open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day.
Many special events take
place in the summer, including the 4th of July Family Picnic, a Crab and
Beer Blast and two Oyster Roasts. The Fleet Captain plans several
cruises for our boaters during the summer months. A particular favorite
of the members is the weekend trip each year to Onancock. Another
favorite is the Kayak & Paddle-Powered Craft Picnic.
Fall and winter events include the Labor
Day Picnic, the Halloween and Thanksgiving Buffets and our annual
Lobster Dinner. Activities are scaled back after Thanksgiving.
For our fishing members,
the November Rockfish Tournament is a highlight of the year.
December features the
Annual Meeting of the members, a Christmas Buffet and our New Year's Eve
times a year, our popular Club Night programs are scheduled. These
special events include dinner and a guest speaker. Programs range from
